Company Director
After setting up and running a successful flooring company in Chesterfield for 5 years I decided to sell that business and open Floor Factory in March 2012. Since then I’ve been pleased to see this new business grow and develop and become one of the largest flooring showrooms in the area.
I am the main estimator for the business so will be the one to come out to your home and measure up and quote for installations. We have a small team here, so you will likely meet me at some point during your visit. We look forward to welcoming you very soon
Store Manager
I have worked in the retail side of the flooring industry for over 30 years now and have been Store Manager at Floor Factory since 2013. You will usually find me on the shop floor, meeting and serving customers.
As I’ve seen many changes in the flooring industry over the years and I have gathered plenty of technical product knowledge that I’m happy to pass onto you. So if you want to know more details about the products you are interested in, I look forward to helping you out.
Office Manager
After working as an Admin Assistant for Floor Factory for many years, I became Office Manager in 2022. I assist Rob with the general running of the showroom and the customer ordering process along with managing our small admin team.
I have been fully trained by Amtico to help you design your new LVT flooring and advise you on these kind of products. Since purchasing my first home in 2019, I have been keenly interested in finding the latest interior trends online and have been using this to help our customers find a design and style that is unique to them.
Installations Manager
I trained as a floor layer straight from school so I have almost 20 years experience and in this time have been able to learn more intricate laying skills such as installing unusually shaped stair runners and sisal carpets.
After a few years installing high-end wood and intricate designs of LVT at Floor Factory, I became the Installations Manager, supervising our small team and taking on the more complicated installations we sometimes undertake here.
Floor Layer
After leaving school in 2017 I joined the family business as an apprentice floor layer. In 2019 I received my diploma, NVQ and completed the Karndean Designflooring apprenticeship scheme.
In the years since then, I’ve learned so much more on the job and grown in confidence and skill. I have completed the Advanced Installer course by Amtico and look forward to developing my skills further with more intricate LVT designs such as Amtico Decor.
Admin Assistant
I joined the Floor Factory team part time in March 2021. My main duties are administrative, but I also spend time serving customers and advising on our vast range of products. I recently visited the Woodpecker HQ in Wales to see up close how high quality wood flooring is produced and manufactured. Trips like this have given me a real insight into the very high standard of flooring brands that we sell here at Floor Factory.
Floor Layer
I worked as a flooring installer from 2009-2015 before switching careers, but then I returned to the Floor Factory team in 2023 to re-train and develop, and now I hope to have a long lasting career in flooring.
I look forward to the challenge of advanced LVT installations, which Floor Factory specialise in, and improving my skills and knowledge with engineered wood and designer carpets
Admin Assistant
I joined the admin team in Spring 2024. My main duties are office based but, as we are such a small team here, we all do a bit of everything so I also work on the shop floor serving customers and advising them on all the different flooring choices available.
I’m still learning all about the huge range of flooring we install here at Floor Factory and look forward to passing on this knowledge to you when you visit the showroom.
Pawject Manager
“I have worked for Floor Factory as an Apprentice Office Dog for a few years now, but since my recent spinal surgery, I have joined the team on a more permanent basis as Pawject Manager. My general duties are security alarm system, parcel sniffer and of course, lunch inspector.
Don’t be fooled, I’m mini but mighty! I look forward to meeting you soon.
